Lûmé‘s multisensory tasting menu is a journey into the flavours, textures and ingredients not so frequently travelled. We focus on creating a holistic dining experience that is innovative, artful and perhaps a little eccentric. Opened in 2015 in a South Melbourne terrace house (formerly home to a burlesque club), Lûmé is the creation of Australian Chef Shaun Quade and his band of young creatives.
With a deep respect for the produce and people they work with, the team share an unrelenting desire to experiment with taste, technique and perception. They honour tradition, yet at the same time are hell-bent on building their own.
Artfully deceptive, Lûmé takes a thoughtful and considered approach to dining. It’s a restaurant that doesn’t just serve food, rather, it creates experiences best enjoyed by curious minds.
Lûmé Available Spaces
The restaurant has multiple feels and sections. When you walk into Lûmé‘ restaurant from the unassuming front door, you come into the main restaurant. The restaurant is styled beautifully with blonde wood and peach and brass finishing. Moving to the back of the restaurant there is an atrium area that brings the outdoors indoors. This space also includes a small private dining area for the intimate occasions.
