INSIDER GUIDES

Cake dreams

Cake cutting at any wedding is a key moment, a highlight of a day or evening when the formalities reach their peak and the fun stuff can happen. (bring on the dance party)

Did you know the tradition of cutting a cake is symbolic traditions?

Traditionally, wedding cakes were made to bring good luck to all guests and the couple, as a symbol for the couple to share a cake with their family and friends. Cake cutting, today, is more of a centrepiece to a wedding and are not always even served to the guests.  Some cakes are built with only a single tier for the bride and groom to share on their first anniversary.

Wedding cakes can come in all sorts of glorious shapes and forms. Here are all the ones we love on Instagram. Some here in Australia and others around the world.
